About AWM

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Division ("AWM") offers a broad product line consisting of all primary asset classes and maintains a global distribution platform designed to serve a diverse client base of institutions and individuals. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of AWM, the Finance team collaborates closely with senior management on projects impacting the growth and profitability of the division, as well as with the leadership of AWM’s business units on specific financial issues and strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including tracking and analyzing Actuals versus Budget performance across expense categories.
  • Support reviews with business stakeholders by preparing analyses and highlighting key expense trends.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports for stakeholders to support transparency and informed decision‑making.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards to track key metrics across various business segments.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to expense management and cost tracking.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support analysis of expense trends and expense‑to‑revenue relationships.
  • Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data and support data governance processes.
  • Execute reporting and analysis processes with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established reporting calendars.
  • Support process improvement and automation efforts to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
  • Perform ad‑hoc and recurring analyses as requested by senior management.
  • Build effective working relationships with teams within the division and across the broader organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Finance Professional experience 0-2 years in FPA domain – CA / MBA preferred
  • MS Office skills – Advanced MS Excel knowledge, proficiency on MS PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in BI tools – Alteryx, Tableau, Qliksense
  • Professional experience in handling large amounts of data and analysis
  • Clear and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Experience of working in a global setup will be of advantage
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
  • Courage to challenge current practice and suggest new ways of working, value-added ideas/ approaches
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and to interface with employees at all levels
  • Flexibility to adapt and perform in a dynamic and evolving organization
