YOUR IMPACT

The PWM Client Onboarding team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to support the end-to-end client onboarding process. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Compliance, Legal, Business Management, and other Operational Departments to ensure seamless onboarding experience. You will develop a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, leverage AI and digital tools to drive efficiency, and contribute to a high-performing global team that delivers best-in-class operational support to our Private Wealth clients.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales, trading, and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm's assets and its reputation.

PWM Operations supports PWM Private Wealth Advisors (PWA) globally. PWAs are responsible for advising ultra-high net worth individuals on strategies to build and protect their financial assets through customized advice and services. PWM Operations is instrumental in meeting our clients' needs and is responsible for several key processes, including account opening, asset transfers, client servicing, execution services, performance measurement, and reporting of Goldman-custodied and away-custodied assets.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
  • Client Onboarding Execution: Support the onboarding of client account structures, including individuals, trusts, partnerships, and investment vehicles, ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards and firm policies.
  • Risk & Compliance Support: Assist in adhering to KYC, AML, and data privacy requirements by performing due diligence checks, escalating risks, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Global Stakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively within a global team setup, engaging with stakeholders across multiple regions, time zones, and cultures to deliver consistent onboarding outcomes.
  • AI & Technology Adoption: Leverage AI tools, automation platforms, and digital workflows to streamline onboarding tasks, enhance data accuracy, and improve turnaround times.
  • Communication & Reporting: Draft clear, concise, and professional emails and presentations for internal and external stakeholders; prepare onboarding status updates and dashboards for senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify inefficiencies in onboarding workflows and propose solutions using technology, automation, or process redesign.
  • Issue Resolution: Coordinate with Business, Compliance, and Legal partners to investigate and resolve onboarding queries in a timely manner.
  • Team Contribution: Contribute to a collaborative team culture; mentor junior colleagues where applicable and support team-wide initiatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Management, or a related field
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in financial services, with exposure to Client Onboarding, Periodic Review, KYC/AML compliance, or Financial Crime Compliance operations within EMEA/APAC Region.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and digital productivity platforms (e.g., generative AI assistants, workflow automation, data analytics tools) with the ability to apply them to day-to-day work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global team setup, collaborating with and managing expectations of a diverse, international audience and stakeholder group.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, particularly in drafting professional emails, memos, and business correspondence.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or Management.
  • ACAMS, ACFE, or other relevant AML/compliance certifications.
  • Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in any of the following languages is considered a strong advantage, given the global nature of the role and our international client base: Spanish, German, French, or Portuguese
