YOUR IMPACT

The Management and Strategy team within the Client Solutions Group (CSG) is responsible for leading the execution of key strategic initiatives within the sales organization, working with stakeholders across sales, investing, and our operating platform. The team oversees our progress toward our financial and non-financial goals; works directly with leadership to execute on our operating initiatives and projects growth plans for the business; and sets the talent management philosophy of the team. In addition to working with leadership in the Client Solutions Group, the team partners closely with AWM Leadership, Investing, Operations and Engineering, the Executive Office, Legal and Compliance, and HCM. The team’s success is ultimately measured on our ability to metric our teams, evaluate the efficacy of our initiatives, create and lead programs that drive incremental commercial progress, and give our people the tools they can leverage to succeed with our clients and in their careers.

Role Overview

The Expense and Reporting Specialist ensures all expense reports align with budgetary guidelines and firm policies, safeguard against fraud, and are processed in compliance with regulatory policies. This individual will assist with implementing and reviewing expense processes, while supporting the Management and Strategy team with critical reporting and data requests. The ideal candidate combines traditional accounting rigor with a tech-forward approach to system optimization and team support.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review, approve, or flag employee expense reports and requests to ensure strict adherence to established T&E policies.
  • Monitor and manage divisional sales budgets, tracking allocations, analyzing variances, and collaborating with leadership to optimize resource spend.
  • Establish and maintain standardized expense submission practices across the division.
  • Review invoices and payments to ensure ledgers are accurate for internal tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Identify and promptly flag errors and policy violations, leading dispute resolution with a focus on employee education and policy transparency.
  • Manage exception-based workflows with a risk management mindset, collaborating with the team for senior sign-off when necessary.
  • Act as the primary global point of contact for staff queries regarding expense submissions and reimbursement status.
  • Generate weekly operational reports and fulfill ad-hoc data requests to support strategic decision-making for the Management and Strategy team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or Expense Management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with SAP Concur and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a proven ability to spot anomalies in large datasets.
  • Communication: Proactive and professional communication style for interacting with global vendors and internal stakeholders across remote teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with expense tools or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
