We help them buy and sell financial products on exchanges around the world, raise funding, and manage risk. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for the markets, with individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and are energized by a bustling trading floor.

We are seeking a Senior Associate / Vice President C++ Developer to join our Electronic Market Making Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting low-latency trading systems that power automated market-making strategies across global electronic markets.

You will work closely with traders, quantitative strategists, and fellow engineers to build highly scalable, resilient, and performant trading solutions, contributing directly to pricing, execution, risk management, and market connectivity platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications supporting electronic market-making and automated trading strategies.
  • Build and enhance low-latency trading infrastructure, including market data handlers, execution gateways, pricing engines, and risk controls.
  • Optimize system performance through profiling, latency analysis, and continuous improvement of critical trading components.
  • Collaborate with Traders, Strats, and Engineering teams to implement new trading functionality and improve market-making performance.
  • Develop tools and frameworks to monitor trading system health, performance, and operational risk.
  • Participate in architecture design, code reviews, testing, and production support of mission-critical trading systems.
  • Support exchange onboarding, market structure enhancements, and new business initiatives across electronic trading platforms.
  • Investigate production issues and implement robust solutions to improve reliability and scalability.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong software engineering skills with extensive experience in modern C++ (C++14/17/20).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and concurrent programming.
  • Experience developing high-performance, low-latency distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments, networking fundamentals, and system performance optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with traders, strats, and global engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience developing electronic trading, market-making, algorithmic trading, exchange connectivity, or market data systems.
  • Understanding of market microstructure, order lifecycle management, and exchange trading protocols.
  • Experience with low-latency optimization techniques, multi-threading, lock-free programming, and performance profiling.
  • Familiarity with messaging frameworks, real-time data processing, and distributed system design.
  • Experience with Python for testing, tooling, automation, or data analysis.
  • Knowledge of risk management, pricing systems, or derivatives trading concepts is advantageous.
  • Experience working directly with trading desks in Equities, Futures, FX, Rates, or other electronic markets.
