Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in abuse analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Experience using statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Experience analyzing Machine Learning (ML) models performance or working on LLMs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.

Trust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
In this role you will be the driving force behind initiatives that protect Google News and third-party content from misinformation, abuse, and harmful content.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead high-impact, multi-quarter projects that build critical trust protections into Google News and third-party content ecosystems, used by millions worldwide
- Collaborate with Product, Policy, Legal, and Engineering teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for user safety. Deep-dive into trust issues specific to news and content surfaces, providing valuable insights and data-driven analysis for informed decision-making
- Identify and address product vulnerabilities, continuously improving our systems to combat evolving abuse trends. Embrace cutting-edge technologies like Large Language Models (LLM) to enhance our ability to fight abuse and misinformation at scale.
- Continuously refine our enforcement workflows, leveraging automation including LLMs and your sharp investigative skills to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
- Review and assess content that may be controversial, offensive, or sensitive. You will perform on call responsibilities on a rotating basis including weekends as needed.
