Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • 1 year of experience managing and developing managers.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing and developing Sales teams to deliver results with a shared insight and purpose.
  • Experience influencing executive-level clients and stakeholders and driving results in complex, agile environments.
  • Leadership experience in sales/operations management, strategic planning, and systems thinking, with the ability to align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes.
  • Understanding of customer business objectives and ability to develop joint business plans in complex, ambiguous environments.
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Solutions, video advertising (e.g., AI-powered Performance, CTV, AI-powered Video) and the key competitor landscape across traditional and digital brand media advertising.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Within a rapidly growing sales team, it's important to have knowledgeable, charismatic leaders to guide our client Sales teams.

As a Head of Lead Generation, you will lead and coach high-performing Account teams that use consultative business skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an investigative approach to business management.

In this role, you will manage client relationships and lead the business engagement with high-potential advertisers. You will enable your team of sellers and people managers (who will each manage front-line account strategists) to always reach for ambitious performance goals. Your knowledge of the lead generation landscape, digital media, combined with your business skills, problem-solving lens, will shape how your book of business will grow.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$268,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Account Strategists and Sales Managers, set and communicate team priorities and make decisions and support activities that align with Google’s values.
  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and senior partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across key partner teams globally to solve for complexity business challenges (e.g., marketing, technical support, strategy, product, finance, etc.).
