Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development utilizing C, C++, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience developing Linux/Android system services or device drivers, or similar system programming experiences.
- Experience in Embedded domain environments (e.g., firmware, Linux kernel, Android).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical documents and schematics.
- Experience with high-speed IOs Peripherals (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SD, eMMC, UFS) or low-speed IOs Peripherals (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, I3C, JTAG).
- Out-of-Box (OOB) manageability experience with exposure to standards like DMTF (PLDM, MCTP (over PCIe, I2C, USB etc.), Redfish, PMBus SPDM, etc.)).

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will help shape and scale the GPU accelerator control plane to support the next generation of GPU accelerators. In this role, they will lead, influence, and shape the next generation GPU based accelerator Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) platforms while exploring forward looking initiatives that make accelerator BMCs more reliable.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture and implementation of high-performance management control plane solutions for GPU-accelerated systems.
- Collaborate with hardware architects and drive the hardware/software co-design to enable deployment of accelerator platforms.
- Engage with the open-source community and internal stakeholders to shape the future of OpenBMC for next-generation accelerator platforms.
- Lead efforts in BMC firmware development, debuggability, performance profiling, and the innovation of advanced manageability features for accelerator platforms.
- Ensure software excellence through rigorous testing, code reviews, and in-depth performance analysis, contributing to overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
