Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experience in manipulating data sets using SQL or another programming/scripting language.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with network product pricing or cost assignment/cost allocation.
- Knowledge of demand forecasting leveraging regression, probability, and decision tree/scenario analysis.
- Ability to challenge business initiatives.
- Ability to influence without authority, interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and work well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The team's goal is to drive scaling of the global network. As a Financial Analyst supporting Technical Infrastructure's (TI) Networking team, you will work as a finance business partner to the team that builds and operates Google's network. You will be responsible for providing insights that have an impact on the business. In this role, you will be responsible for monthly/quarterly finance reviews, modeling business scenarios, tracking performance metrics that will be used by the engineering, business, and finance leaders to make strategic resource allocation decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead quarterly finance reviews, annual planning, and long-range planning efforts.
- Partner with business teams to price network products and assign cost of network products.
- Partner with business to diligence demand and utilization.
- Develop and report/dashboard key metrics to help business understand trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Lead cross-functional projects to identify opportunities to drive efficiency (e.g., value identification) and report on progress to help business teams achieve goals.
