Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in Partner Management, Business Development, Sales, or Channel Development in the technology industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with legal contracts, able to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys on specific contract language.
- Experience with communications service providers (e.g., Telco, ISP, Broadband), Mobile OEMs and Retailers, including a deep understanding of their business models.
- Experience in influencing C-level executives, with the ability to foster relationships.
- Ability to build detailed and persuasive business cases, demonstrating how your partnerships will drive growth and adoption of Google products.
- Ability to drive growth through strategic thinking and deep partnerships.
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
The APAC Platforms and Devices partnerships team play a critical role in adding to the core Android experience, forging new markets for digital content, creating immersive and portable versions of our products or managing relationships with a global community of partners. Within this ecosystem of growing our Platforms and Devices, subscriptions are key to be able to unlock growth from our existing users. Within the APAC Platforms and Devices partnerships team, the Google One and Google Photos partnerships team owns the business side of new features, products and initiatives that are vital to the success of both products.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Recruit new partners and grow existing partnerships for Google One and Google Photos to address market opportunities, expand business, and create balanced partner portfolios. Structure new commercial terms to deepen partner commitment to building solutions on Google Cloud.
- Drive the creation of global demand generation and GTM plans to achieve Google Cloud and partner sales goals. Build the annual plan for each assigned partner with the regional Partner and Field Sales organizations.
- Lead Google One and Google Photos Business Development efforts across all partner types in India.
- Optimize relationships with existing partners, and support and track new partners through the launch process and agreement development. Liaise with Google One Product, Technical, Marketing and Finance teams.
- Develop partner plans for subscriber acquisition and growth.
