Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in an analytically-intensive role, such as management consulting, business intelligence, or corporate strategy.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools, and working with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience establishing and leading operating processes for effectively managing a fast-paced team.
  • Subject matter expertise working at the intersection of climate change and policy, product, business, or other key dimensions.
  • Ability to identify and unpack ambiguous problems, develop effective solutions and implement them.
  • Excellent communication skills.

About the job

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

As a Product Strategy and Operations Lead, you will play a role in helping Google’s products deliver on sustainability commitments by partnering with teams and leads to drive strategy, analyzing data and opportunities, and delivering insights to understand key drivers of change.

You will help develop analytical models and methodologies to understand the impact our products have in mitigating climate change and helping Google’s users make more sustainable choices. You will collaborate across Google, working with cross-functional leaders to understand the potential impact of existing and new features, products, and ideas. And provides data and insights to help Google drive strategy and direction - all in service of Google’s sustainability commitments.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive effective collaboration across teams to advance key initiatives. Facilitate regular review and alignment meetings, ensuring clear communication and progress tracking. Manage follow-up actions and maintain alignment across stakeholders.
  • Perform early stage impact analysis and modeling. From analysis to communication, play a key role understanding the potential of ideas, helping drive decisions based on impact.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to answer key questions and define and prioritize key opportunities, ensuring alignment with Google's strategic climate goals.
  • Partner with multiple internal teams to align external engagement strategies.
