- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in pre-sales or engineering with relations to Application Development or Application Modernization products/solutions.
- 6 years of customer-facing experience in the enterprise space.
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering, Developer Operations, and Developer Experience Metrics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with application modernization technologies including Kubernetes, Serverless, Automation, Observability and Developer Operations.
- Experience developing and growing c-level relationships.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent/ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
- Ability to deliver professional business and technical pitch to the C-Suite and Board levels.

As a Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for bringing experience and thought leadership to help set roadmap, mission, and strategy for our Application Modernization products and offerings. You will be a part of the Solutions and Technology Team and will work closely with strategic account teams and business leadership to drive solution adoption and activation of the broader community of Application Modernization specialists across APAC. You will combine the competencies of complex, large and transformative customer agreement structuring support, partner enablement, strategy consulting, agreement structuring, and importantly, application modernization experience. You will work with aligned business resources and support cross-functional pursuit teams on opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Create APAC and country specific positioning of Google Cloud’s Application Modernization Platform, drive the adoption and conduct technical engagements and pilots around Application Modernization solutions.
- Help Customer Engineers and Specialists to understand the engaged landscape in each country in the Application Development and Modernization space.
- Advise customers on implementation timelines, change management implications, and related topics.
- Participate in cross-pollinating solution successes across sub-regions through various dissemination vehicles (i.e., community forums, partner meetups, analyst events, microsites, and newsletters).
- Establish working relationships with Google account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, solution management, Global System Integrator Partners, and executive staff.
