Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing data center operations in multiple locations simultaneously.
  • 5 years of experience in data center equipment environments or computer component manufacturing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in problem-solving, third-party logistics vendor relationships, user documentation, and user training.
  • Experience in forecasting, data modeling, production management, and data analysis across multiple asynchronous systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to apply structured thinking, provide solutions, handle multiple changing priorities, with excellent verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills.

About the job

In this role, you will help to shape how Google processes reverse logistics materials while incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for process improvement recommendations, change management, standardization of user documentation, creating processes that drive action and interacting with all partner teams. You will be leading major new project initiatives for the Americas server operations logistics with a duration of three months to two years. You will also be responsible for creating Business Requirements Documents (BRD), working with key stakeholders, drive innovation, understanding operational impacts and creating presentations/documents for the leadership team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and communicate the reverse logistics de-population, rack removal, and rack movement plans by site for Global Services Operation (GSO) logistics.
  • Ensure accurate and understandable de-population, rack removal, battery decommission, rack movement, and reverse logistics documents are available to all 3PL partners, and ensure 3PL training is documented.
  • Drive process improvement recommendations, change management, standardization of user documentation, creation of processes that drive action, and prevention of decommissions from missing Service Level Objective (SLO) promises.
  • Address 3PL Centralized Reverse teams' blockers and bugs that inhibit the GSO team from meeting or beating SLOs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all Google systems utilized to plan and execute reverse logistics and rack move functions.
