Minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in marketing.
- Leadership experience with Business-to-Business marketing and Cloud technology.
- Experience building strategy and execution plans with sales stakeholders, including pipeline management.
- Experience working with technical teams.
- Experience leading teams in a matrix organization.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing external creative agencies, event vendors, and international projects.
- Understanding of the enterprise software purchase cycles in the JAPAC region for enterprise, mid-market, and start-ups.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation design, and people skills.
- Demonstrated influencing skills in both business and technical situations.
- Demonstrated curiosity in AI.
About the job
As the Senior Director of Marketing of Asia Pacific and Japan (APAC) for Google Cloud, you will lead marketing for one of the fastest growing areas of the Cloud business, collaborating closely with sales and leading teams across 10+ countries in the region.
Reporting directly to Cloud VP of Marketing and working on the Cloud Marketing Leadership team, you will build and lead a distributed team of strong marketers to drive Google Cloud awareness, new business acquisition, customer development, and developer programs. You'll help large businesses move fast and innovate with cloud services, from collaboration tools to infrastructure-as-a-service. You’ll shape the future of how technology is used in the workplace and be part of an entrepreneurial team in one of Google’s fastest growing businesses. Your responsibilities will include management of marketing programs from top-of-the-funnel demand generation through customer marketing once an account is acquired. With extended ownership of APAC business growth goals, you’ll craft and execute marketing programs with a focus on driving pipeline and business growth. You'll work with the APAC Executive Leadership team to understand business needs, help develop and execute a marketing plan, engage with our strategic C-level customers, and report on metrics. You will also work closely with marketing leaders in APAC from across Google, working together to develop creative solutions for joint customers.

Responsibilities
- Grow awareness and perception for Google Cloud and Google Workspace throughout APAC.
- Generate demand for Google Cloud products and services working together with the JAPAC sales teams. Strategize, execute, roll-out, and optimize new customer acquisition campaigns and programs both for mid-market and enterprise customers and/or aligned to horizontal and vertical solutions.
- Inspire the team and deliver growth in the JAPAC region by attracting and retaining excellent marketers. Work closely with global marketing and Cloud Leadership teams while representing the customers in the process.
- Work with Sales teams on scalable enterprise and developer marketing programs across multiple segments, channels, and partners. Develop customer use case stories and build an engaged customer base.
