Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, corporate development, investment banking or management consulting in the technology industry.
- Experience with building relationships with stakeholders and businesses.
- Experience in cloud or enterprise.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree or a related advanced degree.
- Experience with working in a cross-functional environment and leveraging relationships to collaborate and drive outcomes.
- Experience in Internet, communications, e-commerce.
- Experience with building financial models and valuing companies with excellent quantitative, qualitative and investigative skills.
- Knowledge with Google products with ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent attention to detail and communications skills, with excellent business judgment and work ethic.
About the job
In this role, you will work across functions (e.g., Product, Legal, Finance, Go to Market (GTM) and People Operations) to identify, evaluate, and negotiate acquisition and investment opportunities. You will provide the management team with the needed insight to drive decision-making. You will understand the industry landscape and regional nuances, and harness them to lead the agreements and integration. You will bring quantitative skills, thinking and business judgment, along with the ability to think about what is and what could be.The Corporate Development team drives Google's worldwide growth by identifying exciting acquisition and strategic investment opportunities across existing and future markets – and then working to make them happen. Consisting of experienced merger-and-acquisition leaders, investment professionals, scouting and strategy specialists, and integration experts, we're dedicated to identifying the business opportunities of tomorrow. We drive team decisions, lead negotiations, and help run post-acquisition integration and performance evaluation.Responsibilities
- Research industry trends, engaging landscape and internal product development efforts.
- Partner with business and product teams to identify, evaluate and value potential acquisitions and investments.
- Execute transactions including diligence, valuation, structuring and negotiations, working with cross-functional teams.
- Drive management team decisions, interfacing with internal executives. Develop ecosystem relationships and attend events to understand trends or perspectives.
- Support investment portfolio management.
