Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in product management, including providing product vision, strategy development, data-influenced product planning, prioritization and directing product launches from conception through launch.
  • 6 years of experience managing a team of product managers.
  • Experience managing teams and working with cross-functional and cross-product area partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building and running eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience with social or user-generated content experiences.
  • Experience building products that scale globally but can meet local needs.
  • Deep understanding of social media and advertising ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of international nuances in the retail ecosystem.

YouTube plays an increasingly important role in how consumers discover and research brands and products, with viewers watching 30 billion hours of shopping related videos on YouTube each year. The richness of video and the trust viewers place in their creators has the potential to transform how brands and retailers connect with customers.

In this role, you will lead YouTube’s efforts to seize this opportunity to improve all stages of the shopping journey on YouTube. Under the leadership of the VP/GM of YouTube Shopping, you will define and deliver YouTube’s shopping experiences. You will drive and execute on the product roadmap for the consumer, creator- and merchant-facing YouTube Shopping experience and deliver high-quality and impactful launches through close partnership with engineering and design.
In addition, you will work cross-functionally across teams at Google (Shopping, Ads, Payments, Google Deep Mind) and YouTube to ensure integration across all of our products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $320,000-$445,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and execute product roadmap for YouTube’s shopping offerings.
  • Lead and inspire a team of product managers, while also driving collaboration and partnership with cross-functional partners (e.g., engineering, design, business development, etc.) as well as cross-product area partners.
  • Communicate best practices to partners to support the strategic priorities of YouTube Shopping.
  • Drive exponential growth with a rapidly-evolving technology and business model.
