Position Summary
Guggenheim Partner’s Investment Management seeks a self-motivated individual to join its Client Service Support (“CSS”) team. This is a highly integrated and visible team responsible for coordinating all client operational requests and onboarding and offboarding accounts. In this role the candidate will be a key contributor to the workflow with respect to operational inquiries from our European client base related to separately managed accounts, special purpose vehicles, including QIFs, Private Funds, and UCITS. The position presents a unique opportunity working across the organization to provide a centralized and cross-functional viewpoint. Part of one’s success will be cultivating relationships across business areas including but not limited to Client Services, Portfolio Management, Trading Desks and Operations.
Central to this role are exceptional communication & listening skills with the ability to ask pointed and open-end questions necessary to provide the correct responses to the client. The ideal candidate will have an eagerness to learn and apply their knowledge; and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where it is important to prioritize and manage a multi-stream workload.
The position is located in our London office.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for on-boarding of Guggenheim’s separately managed accounts, coordinating across the front, middle and back offices to ensure efficient workflow and rigorous follow-up with internal departments including AML/KYC, Legal and Compliance.
- Accountable for assigned operational client requests - prompt, accurate and thorough resolution to client inquires – and managing client expectations and timing of downstream inputs, with ultimate responsibility for the final product.
- Monitor email inbox inquiries for the QIFS, UCITS, and European Special Purpose Vehicles.
- Own the various transitions, legal documentation updates, and other changes required by the client throughout their lifecycle.
- Coordinate across various teams during the client’s audit period, ensuring a successful audit.
- Instruct and or/process asset and cash movements during the lifecycle of a client.
- Create and maintain customer information and documentation in various databases/systems.
- Coordinate the operational setup of internally structured deals and model portfolios used by prospective/existing clients to evaluate potential opportunities.
- Diligent use of internal and external daily dashboards and reports for consistent communication and transparency with relevant stakeholders and clients.
- Assist with various ad-hoc and special projects as directed by management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with investment management marketing and distribution teams
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Critical skills to identify and escalate non-standard issues to management
- Knowledge and use of PIVOT tables, VLOOKUP formulas, utilizing Excel functions and formulas to analyze data
- Ability to build/update/refine excel models, templates, charts, and databases
- Capability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Keen focus on detail with extraordinary attention to quality work products
- Skills to analyze and manage large sets of interconnected data and information
- Experience designing, documenting and implementing processes a plus
Basic Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- 6+ years of work experience in investment management or financial services
- High proficient use of Microsoft products; especially skilled in Excel, Visio and Word
- Experience with systems including Blackrock Solutions trading system
- Experience working in an organization with colleagues and departments across geographies
Salary Details
Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
Currently, this role is expected to be in the London office at least 4 days per week.
