Position Summary:
Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced ERP Engineer to play a key role in managing and optimizing our organization's Workday platform. Positioned within the Information Management team and reporting to our Business Relationship Manager for Human Resources (HR) and Finance, this role requires deep expertise and hands-on configuration experience in both Workday Financials and Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and is critical in ensuring the system's optimal functionality and strategic alignment with business processes across the firm.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience, advanced capabilities, and a strong willingness to perform comprehensive Workday configuration across all areas of our Workday platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Financial Management (primary): Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects
- Human Capital Management: Recruiting, Learning, Talent, Benefits, Absence, Compensation
- Cross-Functional: Reporting, Security Configuration, Integrations
Essential Job Functions:
- Advanced Workday Configuration & Upkeep: Lead day-to-day advanced configuration, troubleshooting, and support of the Workday system across both HCM and Financials modules to meet complex organizational needs. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across the platform.
- Workday Process Optimization: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and other departments to understand intricate business processes, identify challenges, and design and implement innovative Workday solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
- System Upgrades and Maintenance: Play a lead role in Workday release planning and regular maintenance activities. Analyze new features, assess impact on existing configurations, and manage the implementation of updates to ensure the system is current and aligned with best practices.
- User Training and Support: Provide expert-level training and support to end-users and functional administrators, addressing complex inquiries, resolving issues, and troubleshooting system problems. Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials and documentation.
- Data Governance, Compliance, and Security: Support the Solution Architect in establishing and enforcing data governance policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and managing security configurations and user access controls across the platform.
- Project Leadership: Lead small to medium-sized Workday projects with internal teams and potentially external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on configuration experience and deep proficiency in Workday core HCM and Financial management modules, including specific expertise in Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Recruiting, Learning, Talent, and Compensation.
- Proven experience with Workday Integrations (e.g., EIB, Core Connect, Studio) and designing/managing Workday Security configurations.
- Strong understanding of both HR and Finance processes and how they are supported and integrated within Workday. Familiarity with internal and external vendor integrations is a plus.
- Highly developed analytical and complex problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated business requirements into effective system solutions.
- Strong customer service orientation and proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in creating complex custom reports and dashboards within the Workday environment.
- Excellent task management, project leadership, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal teams and external partners.
- A proactive, self-starter with the ability to perform duties independently with limited direction.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday, with significant experience covering both HCM and Financials modules.
- Experience within Financial Services is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Work Location
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
Salary
- Annual base salary between $130,000 and $160,000
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
