Position Summary

Guggenheim Investments is hiring a Client Service Specialist to join the relationship management support within Client Service. This role collaborates with various internal teams to provide service to institutional clients and their authorized parties. The role works closely with a Senior Client Service lead to manage existing client relationships and respond to complex and non-routine client inquiries. The position requires a proactive approach to learning, a meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills to foster lasting client relationships, the ability to recommend solutions or escalate matters as needed. Success in this fast-paced environment depends on effective prioritization and management of multiple client’s needs and deadlines.

This position is in our New York City office.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Works directly with Senior Client Service Specialist to resolve complex day-to-day or non-routine issues, as needed.
  • If atypical issues cannot be resolved, escalate to Senior Client Service Specialist or Head of Client Service as appropriate and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with Client Service Support team members in providing service to clients and client’s authorized parties or direct client's consultant (with respect to the specific client’s account only, not other accounts/strategies) in addressing and resolving and ensuring requests are executed.
  • Uses communication skills to deliver high quality service to client base.
  • Works directly with the portfolio management team to resolve and answer client questions about portfolio.
  • Supports multiple, complex client accounts.
  • Ensure all meeting notes and important updates are documented in Salesforce. Manage address/contact changes, adds all meeting notes.
  • Preparation/ Planning of all in person client meetings. Responsible to ensure all agendas, materials are prepared properly. May coordinate with the CSS coverage to help, if needed. Coordinates with IT and floor admins on rooms and food/beverages.
  • Add meetings and calls to team calendar.
  • Manage holiday card mailing and gifts and entertainment approvals.

  • The candidate must have strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, self-initiator, professionalism, keen follow-through, a great work ethic and the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize with ease.
  • Passion for service and finance with the ability to provide a high level of service.
  • Aptitude for complex problem solving.
  • Good analytical skills with a superior level of attention to detail to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborative and relational work style with proven success in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • FINRA Series 7 required, Series 63 preferred.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Client Service role within financial services.
  • Desire for growth opportunities and ongoing training.
  • Strong Fixed Income product knowledge with a sound understanding of front office and middle office workflows is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must have the ability to be pleasantly persistent when needed and manage the client as needed.
  • A savvy user of Salesforce (or other CRM system), Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Undergraduate degree.

Salary Range

Annual base salary between

$120,000.00-$140,000.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
