Position Summary
Guggenheim Investments is seeking an exceptional Fund Accountant to join its Alternative Investments Accounting Team. Reporting to the Head of SPV Accounting, , this person will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately seven and ensuring the proper accounting for private funds. The ideal candidate will have a good blend of public and private accounting.This is an in-person role based in our NYC office 4 dys per week.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Proper accounting and financial reporting for private funds
- Compliance with legal documents and SEC custody rule by coordinating annual audits for private funds
- Production of capital statements, holdings reports, and financial statements for investors
- Key collaborator on launching, investing in, and liquidating of private funds
- Responsible for all fee calculations of private funds including management fees, incentive, carried interest, and expense reimbursements
- Represents accounting at private fund board of directors meetings
- Encourage collaboration between accounting and corporate social responsibility teams
- Manages a team of seven to ensure deadlines are met and staff are developed
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical and spreadsheet skills.
- Exposure to investment companies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, CLOs, or similar accounting
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA required
- CPA Required
- 7+ years prior public accounting/fund accounting experience in financial services
Salary Range
Annual base salary between
$170,000.00-$195,000.00The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
