What You Will Do:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Patient Access Supervisor supervises employees and operations within the Admitting, Emergency Admitting and Skilled Nursing Facility departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Implements departmental organization through the Utilization and maintenance of schedules and the adherence to Human Resources and Admission/Registration Services policies and procedures.
Accuracy and thoroughness in the execution of job responsibilities.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Oversight of admitting operations in the absence of Department Director and or Manager.
Serves as a role model for staff.
Works closely with the Department Director and or Manager in the following areas:
a. Monitoring completion of timecards.
b. Employees’ attendance records.
c. Staff Schedule
d. Daily monitoring of all admissions and registration billing jackets
Mediates problems relating to staffing, morale, scheduling work procedures, salary adjustments, discipline, transfers, safety, and other actions regarding personnel.
Assist with the administration of the department, for the purpose of reports, documentation, payroll records, statistical requirements, and other data required.
Participates in the establishment and oversight of performance improvement goals and systems. Communicates P.I. activities to staff and acts as a coach and educator.
Assist with the annual budget and operates within approved budget limitations.
Conducts performance reviews and facilitates staff performance improvement and development.
Provides staff participation programs for in-service education to stimulate interest, promote growth and development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
Requires a University Degree or High School Diploma with 9 year experience in Healthcare , Finance, or Customer Service setting
Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience in Healthcare, Finance, or Customer Service setting
1 year Supervisory experience

Bilingual
Medical Billing and authorization experience
Epic experience
