What You Will Do:

  • Guidehouse Business Analysts support the successful delivery of technology and business transformation initiatives by bridging the gap between stakeholders and technical teams.

  • In addition to analyzing business needs and translating requirements into actionable solutions, you will foster collaboration, drive agile practices, and facilitate team processes to ensure project goals are met with clarity and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Analysis

    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and document business and functional requirements.

    • Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

    • Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and process flows.

    • Support solution design and development by working closely with developers, testers, and project managers.

    • Maintain clear and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Identify requirements that can be met through configuration, and which ones would need personalization or additional customization.

  • Facilitation

    • Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).

    • Create an environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    • Guide teams in self-organization and cross-functionality, helping them resolve conflicts and reach consensus.

    • Assist in the development of training materials, user guides, and change management plans.

    • Conduct impact assessments and support testing and validation efforts.

  • Agile Ceremonies and Processes

    • Champion agile principles and practices, ensuring the team follows the Scrum framework.

    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure they are productive and timeboxed.

    • Remove obstacles and impediments that hinder the team’s progress.

    • Coach the team in agile methodologies, promoting continuous improvement and high performance.

    • Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement and prioritization.

    • Track and communicate team performance using defined metrics and KPIs.

    • Foster a culture of servant leadership, mentoring team members and encouraging ownership of deliverables.

    • Coordinate re-estimation of incomplete work, determine team velocity, and generate sprint review reports.

    • Lead process improvement initiatives identified during retrospectives.

What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Minimum THREE (3) years of professional experience in business analysis, facilitation, and scrum roles

  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and process flows

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with COTS or Platform based solutions

  • Ability to travel up to 25%


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience in a consulting or client-facing role

  • Experience with court case management systems

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools

  • Knowledge of business architecture frameworks and enterprise modeling

  • Experience supporting digital transformation or modernization initiatives

  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R).

  • Familiarity and/or experience implementing with low-code platforms

  • Experience working in an agile development environment

  • Recent work experience on data projects in a federal government setting

  • Understanding of responsible AI principles and model interpretability
