Ideal candidates have Federal Healthcare experience—preferably with DHA, the Services, or Health Affairs—and a strong background in electronic health records (EHR). The role involves developing deliverables, strengthening client relationships, improving processes, and supporting business development across the MHS.

Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:

  • Provide health informatics expertise for working groups and care-area requests.

  • Assess and improve coding workflows in MHS GENESIS; design efficient, compliant workflows aligned with RCM goals.

  • Configure automated routing, coding edits, and validation rules to improve accuracy and reduce denials.

  • Monitor coding guideline updates and integrate changes into workflow logic.

  • Support continual improvement of MHS GENESIS workflows, ensuring quality data and better provider/patient experiences.

  • Perform Oracle Health (Cerner) configuration updates and assist in designing clinical workflows that incorporate business functions.

  • Establish feedback loops, use LightsOn analytics, and recommend process improvements.

  • Support RCM functions such as charge capture, coding, and overall optimization.

  • Create dashboards, presentations, and analysis using MHS data.

  • Coordinate working groups/project teams, track tasks, and assist with workshops and summits.

  • Collaborate with VA counterparts and contribute to interoperability and innovation initiatives.

  • Develop reports and dashboards based on government priorities.

  • Lead deliverables, recurring tasks, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Produce executive-level slide decks and memorandums for DoD leadership.

  • Track progress on MHS initiatives to support legislative and departmental requirements.

What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • Bachelors Degree

  • FOUR (4) or more years of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) build experience, including troubleshooting, system reconfiguration, and/or project management.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or related field.

  • Experience with Oracle/Cerner EHR RCM builds, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system reconfiguration.

  • DoD or Military Health System (MHS) experience.

  • Experience leading small teams, coaching colleagues, and providing performance feedback.

  • PMP, CAPM, or CRCR certification.

  • Broad knowledge of healthcare domains (public health, provider, life sciences).

  • Technical expertise in MHS GENESIS RCM configuration, optimization, and revenue‑impacting workflow enhancements.

  • Ability to independently lead development, implementation, and validation testing of MHS GENESIS RCM system builds.

  • Experience with ticket‑queue systems and issue‑resolution workflows.

  • Ability to partner with internal/external RCM stakeholders to implement solutions and enhancements.

  • Experience optimizing and integrating RCM workflows with clinical workflows, including troubleshooting errors caused by outdated or misbuilt workflows.

  • MHS business knowledge to support DHA stakeholders with communication, training, and change management.

  • Experience designing educational materials and delivering intermediate/advanced RCM training (including Alpha II and SSI edit‑failure remediation).

  • Understanding of clinical/business workflows and human‑factors/usability principles.

  • Ability to build dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to assess risks and translate business requirements into technical and non‑technical documentation.

  • Strong client‑facing skills, including preparing concise deliverables and participating in stakeholder discussions.

  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and effective in fast‑paced environments.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong organizational awareness and political savvy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations.

  • Strong ability to manage deadlines and recurring deliverables.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$133,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
