What You Will Do:
The IT Finance Manager is responsible for budgeting, financial forecasting and cost transparency for enterprise IT across Guidehouse’s global footprint. This role manages IT OPEX and CAPEX, supports chargeback and showback models, and partners with IT, Finance and business leaders to improve cost transparency, forecasting accuracy, and investment decisions.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring financial discipline, cost optimization, and clear communication of IT spend to senior stakeholders.
IT Financial Management
Partner with IT Leaders to lead IT OPEX and CAPEX planning, budgeting, and forecasting across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and end‑user services
Track and explain month‑end actuals vs. budget and forecast
Manage capitalization policy, asset lifecycles, depreciation, and amortization for IT investments
Chargeback & Showback
Design, maintain, and improve IT chargeback and showback models aligned to business services
Partner with Finance and IT leadership to ensure fair, transparent, and defensible cost allocation
Produce consumable billing and usage reports for business units and their departments
Cost Transparency & Optimization
Maintain cost transparency dashboards
Identify cost optimization opportunities related to cloud usage, vendors, and demand management
Support business cases, ROI analysis, and investment prioritization for IT initiatives
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as a trusted finance partner to CIO, IT service owners, and global Finance
Translate financial data into clear, executive‑ready insights
Support IT leadership with financial analysis for strategy, sourcing, and transformation initiatives
Governance & Controls
Ensure compliance with internal finance policies, audit requirements, and financial controls
Support internal and external audits related to IT spend and capitalization
Improve processes through automation, standardization, and data quality improvements
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience in IT Finance, FP&A, or Technology Business Management; or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Strong experience managing IT OPEX and CAPEX in a large, complex organization
Hands‑on experience with chargeback and/or showback models
Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Experience within a global consulting, professional services, or matrixed organization
Familiarity with TBM frameworks (e.g., service‑based costing)
Experience with cloud financial management (FinOps) and consumption‑based pricing
Exposure to IT financial tools or platforms (e.g., Apptio, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, Anaplan)
