What You Will Do:

  • Lead or support strategy and transformation engagements focused on transportation grants, funding programs, and related operational improvements.
  • Assess current-state processes, identify opportunities for process improvement, and develop practical recommendations to improve efficiency, consistency, and client outcomes.
  • Partner with client stakeholders and internal teams to help shape grant-related strategies, workplans, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Analyze data, synthesize findings, and prepare clear deliverables, presentations, and executive-ready materials that communicate insights and recommendations.
  • Support project management activities including planning, coordination, issue tracking, and status reporting to keep workstreams on track.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by helping prepare proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials as needed.
  • Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment within CE&I – FCA Transportation to help deliver high-quality consulting services.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST".
  • Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.
  • 4+ years of relevant consulting, strategy, transformation, transportation, or grants experience.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, operational analysis, or program transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop professional deliverables and present information clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with common business tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring some days in the Guidehouse office and/or client site.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with transportation grants, discretionary funding programs, or public-sector funding initiatives.
  • Experience in strategy, transformation, or management consulting within the transportation or public sector.
  • Experience supporting proposal development or client growth activities.
  • Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, or local transportation programs and grant processes.
  • Exposure to project management methodologies or tools.
