What You Will Do:
As a Communications and Project Management Consultant, you will support internal communications efforts for a government agency leadership team. You will help translate business priorities into clear, concise messaging and assist in delivering communications that keep employees informed and engaged.
This role focuses on content development, coordination, and execution of communications activities, while building foundational skills in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Support communication planning and execution
Assist in developing and implementing internal communication materials (e.g., emails, newsletters, briefing notes) to support CFO priorities and organizational updates.
Draft and edit content
Create clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand communications for a range of audiences, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
Coordinate communication activities
Help manage timelines, track deliverables, and support the execution of communication initiatives across teams.
Virtual Meeting Coordination
Coordinate end-to-end virtual meetings for CFO leadership, including scheduling, materials preparation, facilitation support, and follow-up tracking.
Graphic Design Support
Create clear, visually engaging communication materials (e.g., slides, infographics, newsletters) that effectively convey CFO messaging and align with organizational branding.
Engage with stakeholders
Work with team members and leadership to gather information, clarify messaging, and ensure communications reflect current priorities.
Ensure consistency and quality
Review communications for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with organizational guidelines and branding standards.
Support continuous improvement
Assist in tracking communication effectiveness (e.g., engagement metrics) and identifying opportunities to improve content and delivery.
What You Will Need:
Bachelors degree in writing, communications, business, health, science, liberal arts or sciences.
Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
Ability to take direction and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic project coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines
Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from team members
Interest in communications, public sector work, or supporting executive leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with email communications or digital platforms is a plus
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (i.e. US citizenship required)

Experience presenting to Senior leaders.
