What You Will Do:

  • Design, build, and enhance enterprise application components supporting solution delivery, including initial delivery tranches and follow-on iterations.
  • Engineer solutions using an AI‑first mindset, incorporating AI‑enabled workflows and automation as part of the core delivery approach where it adds value and is supportable long‑term by IT.
  • Implement and optimize integration patterns and mass API workflows to connect systems and orchestrate end-to-end processing.
  • Lead development of data architecture, database design, and data structuring approaches to support scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and IT delivery partners in a cross‑functional, FDE model to move solutions from concept to production-ready delivery.
  • Provide hands-on support as well as mentoring the junior developer(s) as needed.
  • Partner with adjacent teams to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise platforms, including emerging AI‑enabled capabilities.
  • Apply enterprise standards and controls (e.g., security, access, change/release, testing standards), including additional controls for systems subject to ITGC/SOX where applicable.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or application development roles, with a demonstrated track record delivering enterprise‑scale, production‑ready solutions.
  • Strong experience developing full‑stack applications, including back‑end services (e.g., Python) and modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js and/or Next.js, TypeScript).
  • Strong experience with integration development, including designing and consuming APIs and MCPs, high‑volume / mass API patterns, and end‑to‑end system connectivity.
  • Strong experience with database architecture and data structuring, including designing for scalability, maintainability, and operational support.
  • Experience working with containerized applications, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience using GIT repositories, such as GitHub.
  • Experience working within SDLC methodologies, including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI‑enabled workflows and automation into enterprise solutions (delivery practicality, not just experimentation).
  • Ability to work effectively in FDE, cross‑functional delivery teams, partnering directly with business and functional stakeholders to translate needs into working solutions.
  • Domain expertise as a core requirement—ability to understand and operate fluently within the HR business domain that custom portfolio solutions support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with enterprise workforce and delivery platforms, including HR systems (e.g., Workday) and adjacent staffing, resource management, finance, time/utilization, and engagement delivery systems that together support end‑to‑end resourcing and execution.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools, such as Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience working in a delivery model that builds in rapid iteration in pods, leveraging reusable patterns, and pragmatic acceleration while maintaining enterprise controls
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and elevating pod execution through practical engineering leadership.
