Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of all facets of Audio campaigns for assigned clients within Podcast, Streaming, Broadcast, and Satellite. Responsible for planning (Streaming & Podcasting), schedule construction, and maintenance of Terrestrial and Digital Audio campaigns. Responsible for full campaign set up and monitoring, including negotiation, clearance, attribution and optimization. Provides feedback, training and mentoring to Assistant Investors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that client’s marketing objectives are realized through accurate planning, quality schedules, and detailed post campaign metrics.

  • Full understanding of marketplace landscape, trends, pacing, nuances, intel and competitive
  • Ability to sell through the value of Audio to Brand teams
  • Implement Audio campaigns established by Brand teams on behalf of clients
  • Provide clear and concise rationale for planned media
  • Establish timing and ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively recognize problems & identify solutions
  • Ability to interact & collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders
  • Develop accurate pricing/planning costs
  • Responsible for the quality of schedules and accuracy of information provided to Brand teams
  • Analyzes the performance of Audio campaigns to ensure schedules ran as ordered and met the objectives of the campaign
  • Train and mentor Investors and Assistant Investors in the department
  • Full understanding of Streaming Audio and Podcast landscape, construction of Digital Audio schedules, and latest trends
  • Embraces new and emerging technologies to identify and activate 1st to market campaigns
  • Identifies strategic partnerships with key vendors to drive innovation and value
  • Amplifies campaigns by creating and activating customized added value via on-air, online and on-site activations
  • Capable of evaluating, negotiating and positioning multi-platform proposals by providing a strong POV
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with audio staff members, vendor partners, brand teams, promotions group, and Finance
  • 80% - Implementation & Stewardship of Audio campaigns
  • 10% - Remain current on evolving media landscape and encourage development of staff’s knowledge
  • 5% - Networking internally and externally with vendor partners
  • 5% - Guiding/Mentoring/Training Investors and Assistant Investors

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • 4 year college degree
  • 5 years investing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Audio Landscape, including Podcast, Streaming, National and/or Local Broadcast and Satellite
  • Experience implementing Group Deals and multi-platform campaigns
  • Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Strata View/ SBMS, SQAD, Brand Ratings, Cost Database, Performance Metrics
  • Prioritizing the following
    • Strong negotiations skills & tactics
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task & prioritize workload
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong interest in presentation & leadership skill development
    • Strong interpersonal skills, team player with a positive attitude that embraces “Business in Personal” mantra

Salary Range

$80,000.00 - $95,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
