Job Description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Data Solutions Specialist to join Horizon Media’s data solutions practice in Los Angeles. This person will develop a deep understanding of data-centric media solutions, work side-by-side with strategists, brand leads, and clients to help manage data onboarding, guide audience segmentation and activation tactics, and aid in evaluating strategic partnerships.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a team player, and can simplify complex topics. Most importantly, this person should show a willingness to learn in a challenging, fast-paced and everchanging landscape.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

45% MarTech and Campaign Management

Develop fluency with client’s MarTech infrastructure (DMP, CRM platform, insights tools)

Day-to-day ownership of client’s data onboarding process, including ongoing collaboration with activation teams and updating internal documentation

Support all data syndication requests and conversations with publishers

Assist Data Solutions team in managing timelines and budgets with digital, ad ops, social, and advanced TV teams as related to data needs

25% Data, Insights, and Strategy

  • Work closely with Data Solutions team and Consumer Insights team to discover audience insights using a variety of client and agency tools
  • Collaborate with marketing and media teams to turn insights into actionable audiences and tactics for media campaigns
  • Support Data Solutions team with industry research, landscape projects, client requests, and ad hoc requests

30% Education

  • Build an understanding of media, technology, and data ecosystems by keeping up with industry trends and attending various vendor meetings
  • Develop knowledge of media activation platforms (e.g. Facebook, The Trade Desk), data onboarding platforms (e.g. Liveramp), and DMPs (e.g. Neustar)

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Experience working with large data sets and complex digital user interfaces
  • Proficient in Excel – pivot tables, creating charts, vlookups, etc.
  • Preference to work on the disruptive side of business, with new technology
  • Able to work independently and be resourceful, with excellent time management skills
  • Experience in a highly collaborative and fast-paced work environment
  • Self-driven to learn more about the industry and programmatic best-practices
  • A team-player who can work collaboratively with our multi-faceted team (including planning and analytics) and other agency departments

Salary Range

$40,000.00 - $50,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
