Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • 60% - Assume reception post, welcome & announce visitors
  • 15% - Vet and confirm authorized persons at HMI offices
  • 10% - Credential and issue identification to authorized employees and vendors
  • 10% - Patrol, respond and investigate incidents as directed in HMI Post Orders
  • 2% - Provide first aid response as needed
  • 1% - Direct evacuation of employees and visitors in the event of fire or emergency
  • 2% - Liaison with building security personnel & make notifications as directed in Post Orders

Certificates, licenses and registrations

  • Required to maintain current Bureau of Security & Investigative Services Security Guard License https://www.bsis.ca.gov/ (HMI will provide training and sponsor candidate)
    • First Aid/CPR/AED certified (HMI will provide training and sponsor candidate)


Physical Activity and Work Environment

Patrol office hallways and must be capable of using staircases. Must be physically capable of using EVAC chair with average weighted person in the seat. All properties of Horizon NY office and “off-site” venues as needed.

Salary Range

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
