Job Summary
The SVP, Integrated Investment is a key member of the Horizon Canada executive team, responsible for leading strategic commercial investment initiatives, media partnerships, and revenue growth opportunities across linear, streaming, OLV/display, social, programmatic, and broader media ecosystems. This role will lead the development and scaling of the agency’s commercial investment practice in Canada, establishing operational frameworks, governance models, and client-facing solutions that drive business value and competitive advantage. This role requires a strong leader with deep expertise in media investment, partner management, and marketplace dynamics, with the ability to drive revenue growth, monetization opportunities, and value extraction across the agency’s investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will oversee partner pacing, relationship development, commercial negotiations, and strategic deal structuring, while identifying opportunities to optimize spend, improve operational efficiency, and maximize investment performance. The SVP will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across planning, investment, operations, legal, finance, and business development to deliver strategic business outcomes, strengthen partner relationships, and support agency growth initiatives. This individual will also collaborate with U.S. and global counterparts to align on best practices, operational standards, compliance, and risk management, while representing the agency through marketplace leadership, industry engagement, and thought leadership initiatives.

What You’ll Do
Investment
- Lead partnership negotiations and commercial deal structuring across media partners.
- Manage partner pacing, performance, and ongoing relationship development.
- Oversee the unlocking and management of partnership tranches based on business needs and opportunities.
- Negotiate bridge deals and interim commercial agreements to support business continuity and growth.
- Drive revenue targets and ensure delivery against commercial objectives.
- Identify and execute opportunities for monetization of cash outlay and value extraction.
- Lead consolidation efforts across long-tail partners to streamline investment and operations.
- Increase revenue extraction and value generation relative to overall spend.
- Liaise with U.S. and global counterparts to align on best practices and develop holistic North American approaches where valuable.
Operations & Agency Growth
- Ensure operational excellence across investment and buying disciplines, including process optimization and workflow efficiencies.
- Act as a bridge with U.S. leadership to drive consistency, alignment, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with business development to support new business proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and legal teams to support scalable commercial frameworks and governance models.
- Identify opportunities to improve investment processes, reporting, and operational integration across teams.
Leadership & Culture
- Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing activation and operations teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision making.
- Represent the agency externally, strengthening relationships with key industry stakeholders and partners.
- Lead professional development initiatives to ensure teams remain ahead of marketplace trends and industry shifts.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment across the organization.
Team Development
- Manage and develop team members across activation and operations disciplines, ensuring continued growth of integrated skillsets.
- Share feedback and recommendations with leadership on integration progress, team structure, and operational effectiveness.
- Mentor team members by developing processes, guiding career growth, and aligning work to broader agency objectives.
- Lead performance reviews and partner with executive leadership on staffing, organizational planning, and compensation discussions.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing media professionals, ability to manage a team
- Experience in client relationship management role
- Experience in dealing with C-Level co-workers across various organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting resources/buying systems
