Scope

The Director, Compensation Coordination and Analytics will serve as the subject matter expert partnering with the Lines of Business and Corporate Leaders to implement equitable and competitive remuneration and rewards programs. The Director will lead the administrative aspects of the firm’s annual compensation planning activities, act as a liaison to external providers, and work to effectively integrate all forms of remuneration into a cohesive reporting package.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record counseling senior management and key stakeholders on a wide range of compensation and remunerations issues. In addition, the Director will lead the analysis of global remuneration to ensure that they are market competitive and cost effective.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the firm’s annual compensation planning cycle.
  • Maintain compensation data including special terms, commitment to employees, and unique compensation incentive agreements for Lines of Business and Corporate.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's incentive plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Corporate Development, Accounting, Payroll, Tax, Human Resources, Legal, Chief Administrative Officers, and Global Mobility to establish and maintain effective compensation processes and policies.
  • In partnership with the firm’s CAOs and HR Business Partners, continually educate firm leaders on the compensation best practices.
  • Manage the collection and analysis of compensation survey and benchmarking data, in collaboration with our compensation consulting partners, to ensure the competitiveness of the compensation programs and objectives in the marketplace.
  • Participate in annual compensation planning activities, including preparation of fiscal year base earnings, overtime, allowances, and bonus pool expenses.
  • Work closely with the firm’s Stock Plan Administrator to process annual stock transactions related to Withhold-to-Cover.
  • Utilize business knowledge and compensation expertise to perform root cause analysis and develop creative solutions to meet both processing efficiency and business operational success.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of incentive compensation plans, payments, and related documentation.
  • Stay informed about regulatory, market, and practice changes and trends within the field of compensation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting plus 7-10 years of experience in Human Capital Analytics, Compensation, or Finance.
  • Strong understanding of compensation best practices and industry standards in the Americas, Europe and Middle East, United Kingdom, and Asia-Pacific.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends related to incentive compensation administration, recommending improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in compensation management software (e.g., Oracle Compensation) and HR management software (e.g., Workday); advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to interpret complex or unique hiring or acquisition compensation arrangements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management.
  • Ability to perceive and analyze problems, and make and recommend sound decisions.
  • Ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC applications, including the entire suite of MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Financial Services firm preferred.

Salary Range

Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

$200,000.00-$250,000.00

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
