Scope
The Business Services team at Houlihan Lokey are looking to add a Senior Vice President or Director in Europe.
The right candidate will support and lead on new business development in Investment Banking engagements and will either have or want to develop sub-sector expertise to augment our existing coverage.
Senior Vice Presidents and Directors work on a variety of transactions across mergers and acquisitions, and are encouraged to focus on both execution work as well as origination to help us grow our business.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead the execution of Business Services transactions
- Show aptitude for (and ideally have a demonstratable track record of) originating deals
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors
- Focus on the European market while collaborating with a global team
- Develop and review financial models including database systems
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence, lead and execute M&A transactions
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Manage and develop the junior team
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years IB experience and operating at Senior Vice President / Director level currently
- Proven deal execution experience in M&A / Corporate Finance within Business Services, including extensive completion of sell-side mandates
- Demonstrable track record of client and deal origination
- Experience within the Environment Services and / or Transport & Logistics sub-sectors favourably regarded
- Demonstrable experience in leading discussions with senior client executives and target management
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to grow our business and act entrepreneurially
- Develop professional network and relationships with firm, client and target professionals
- Management skills in supervising and training staff
