Scope
Houlihan Lokey is growing and we are setting up our Infrastructure Debt Capital Solutions advisory team. Having recently hired a seasoned infrastructure banker to lead this practice in Europe, we are now focused on building out the broader team. We are looking for an experienced Vice President (VP) with expertise in the Infrastructure sector to join our team in London as we embark on this exciting new chapter.

Responsibilities
Assist in originating new client engagements for the Infrastructure Debt Capital Solutions team spanning various jurisdictions, industries, and situations
Assist with relationship coverage of active debt investors, including banks, credit funds, hedge funds, and other alternative lenders
Serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions including leading selected workstreams
Serve as primary execution officer on various debt capital engagements and managing junior members of the deal team
Prepare, analyse and help explain historical and projected financial information in support of executing ongoing engagements
Coordinate third-party due diligence work by various other professional advisors and perform business due diligence
Oversee and lead preparation of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
Review bespoke financial models with support from junior team members
Lead lender interaction and negotiations
Autonomous in day to day work life
Contribute to the firm’s clients relationships
Mentor junior associates and analysts, helping to create a collaborative team environment

Basic Qualifications/ Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
An excellent academic track record and achieved a 2:1 or equivalent degree
7-9 years of experience within Infrastructure Debt Advisory, Leveraged or Structured Finance, or other similar roles within an Investment Bank or Advisory firm
A demonstrated track record of executing end to end deals
Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates
Proven experience leading discussions with senior client executives and target management
Excellent financial modelling, finance and accounting skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others
A strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail and a desire to take the initiative
Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitations
The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, building effective relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
The motivation to work in a collaborative, rapidly changing, demanding but ultimately rewarding environment
Fluent proficiency (written and spoken) in one or more other European languages is a bonus, but not essential
