Scope:
As a Network Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Houlihan Lokey’s global network infrastructure. Based in our New York office, you support the full lifecycle of the firm’s network environment—including installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
You serve as a trusted technical partner to IT staff, end users, and security teams, delivering reliable connectivity across offices, data centers, cloud platforms, and third-party systems. Your work ensures that the firm’s employees, applications, and platforms operate seamlessly, securely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Network Engineering & Infrastructure Operations
Install, configure, and maintain core network hardware, including Cisco switches, Meraki equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, Netskope edge devices, wireless access points, IPS/IDS systems, and related LAN/WAN components.
Implement and support routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), IPsec VPNs, SDWAN, and secure remote access technologies.
Manage and optimize Azure networking components while supporting the firm’s ZTNA strategy through the Netskope SASE platform.
Systems & Platform Integration
Maintain working knowledge of Windows Server, VMware ESX/VCenter, SAN and NAS storage, IP phones, video conferencing platforms, Bloomberg workstations, and other network connected systems.
Install and administer network management and monitoring applications such as PRTG and SolarWinds.
Support, Troubleshooting & Service Delivery
Provide 2nd and 3rdtier support for network connectivity issues, collaborating closely with IT peers and endusers.
Troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, VLAN, routing, VPN, and workstation/server network configurations.
Partner with Information Security on firewall operations, IPS/IDS performance, and log management.
Participate in IT staff and project meetings, communicating network related updates and issues.
Performance, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Monitor network performance and bandwidth utilization across all sites, recommending improvements and efficiency optimizations.
Implement new tools and technologies that enhance network visibility, user experience, and operational readiness.
Evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance, stability, and resilience of the firm’s network ecosystem.
Coordination & Vendor Engagement
Serve as point person for network related installations and troubleshooting with third-party providers.
Oversee network deployments and office buildouts, traveling to HL locations as needed.
OnCall & Incident Response
Participate in the on call rotation, providing after–hour support for one week every 2–3 months.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Strong hands‑on experience in hardware/software installation, network troubleshooting, and operational support.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience within financial services or a similarly regulated, high‑performance environment.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and lift up to 25 pounds as part of routine technical duties.
Use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and maintain the ability to adjust focus to support technical work.
Work is performed in a professional office setting and may require occasional travel to other HL locations.

Compensation and Benefits
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

$95,000-$135,000


Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
