Job Description

Houlihan Lokey is seeking a Financial Restructuring Administrative Assistant to join our Chicago office. In this in-person role, you will provide dedicated administrative support to a specific team of bankers. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of collaborating effectively with the broader administrative team to ensure seamless coverage and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day in-office support for assigned banking professionals, including calendar management and scheduling.
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings, including room bookings and catering.
  • Arranging comprehensive domestic travel, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
  • Prepare and process expense reports in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
  • Collaborate with the broader administrative team across the firm to support department-wide initiatives and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between the deal team and internal departments, including IT, Facilities, and the FR Operations team.
  • Maintain and update client data in Salesforce and other internal systems.
  • Willingness to jump in and help as needed.
  • This role may be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • 0–2 years of experience in an administrative, office support, or customer-service role.
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Prior experience or interest in financial services or professional services is a plus.

Skills

  • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Salesforce and Concur is advantageous.
  • Organization: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize conflicting deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills appropriate for interacting with senior executives and clients.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
  • Professionalism: High level of discretion, reliability, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

$31.25 - $36 Hourly
