With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

At Intuit, our mission is powering prosperity around the world. Every day we innovate with our flagship products - TurboTax, and QuickBooks. No matter your financial need, we have a solution that can help. Whether you’re a consumer, self-employed, or a small business owner, we’re in your corner to help make your dreams of prosperity come true through technology that touches the lives of almost 50 million people. Intuit is looking for a product designer to help define how small businesses work with their bookkeepers through the QuickBooks Live service. QuickBooks Live is a portfolio of online expert services—bookkeeping, tax prep, and more—that connects small businesses with trusted, QuickBooks-certified virtual experts. This team ensures the small business can efficiently collaborate with these experts so they can run their business with confidence. Our designers are involved at every step of a project—from gathering insights, brainstorming, prototyping, and experimentation to launching pixel-perfect designs. And we’re innovating through machine learning to make every interaction delightfully simple. If you’re ready to create bold and elegant solutions that power prosperity around the globe, we want to hear from you.

  • Deliver user flow diagrams, interaction patterns, design specs, wireframes, mental models, information architecture, and prototypes using emotional design methods
  • Participate in, and often lead, customer research with clear goals, a testable hypothesis, and learning plan
  • Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow based on experimentation and customer research
  • Use visual frameworks and patterns based on brand guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with other designers, content strategists, product managers, product developers, marketers, and researchers
  • Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews
  • Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends
  • Work on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant fields; Masters preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Significant experience as a product or interaction designer responsible for leading work on cross platform products and/or systems at a digital company, contributing to or leading the design and execution of cross platform product experience; min of 5 years functioning as a design lead
  • Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator
  • Expertise conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
