Job Overview

Intuit is seeking a Project Manager to join its Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy Team located in Washington, D.C. You will help the team continue to develop and manage our global public policy objectives to accelerate Intuit’s mission of powering prosperity around the world. Intuit is a global technology platform, powering prosperity with TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp.

The Intuit Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy (GCAPP) team brings the voice of Intuit’s customers to policymakers globally. Internally, GCAPP works closely with stakeholders to identify the policy issue areas of importance to Intuit and our customers. Through political and policy environment analysis, we create positions that enable us to deliver for our customers while serving the common good, often raising the bar for our industry. Externally, we find and/or build champions in the political process so policymakers hear from relevant, credible, and diverse voices in government, policy, media, non-profits, subject matter experts, and thought leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Budget Operations Management:
    • Assist in developing and managing GCAPP’s budget, including analyzing costs and recommending ways to reduce them.
    • Maintain external relationships with GCAPP’s vendors and suppliers and internal Intuit stakeholders to ensure that the GCAPP team receives high-quality products and services at a reasonable price.
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders domestically and internationally to manage GCAPP’s contracts.
    • Maintain and produce reports on expenses, purchase orders, and invoices for use by senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Evaluate and analyze current budgeting and financial process to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for greater efficiency and compliance.
    • Collaborate with GCAPP teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of all improvements proposed to budgeting and financial processes.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan and manage multiple projects from initiation through delivery/implementation
    • Provide support to ongoing projects and provide direction and expertise to the project team
    • Communicate clearly and proactively issue-spot to propel project progress
    • Manage and maintain trust with key project stakeholders
    • Continuously identify and communicate opportunities for increased efficiency in GCAPP team operations
  • Data Analysis & Communication:
    • Prepare, develop, and deliver data & dashboards and reports for multiple stakeholders including heads of business
    • Utilize data to issue-spot and opportunities for increased efficiency in program/team management

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing multiple medium to large size projects of complex nature.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and process improvement
  • Strong experience leading organizational change and/or end-to-end project management
  • Experience with data analysis and dashboard creation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills, including plan status, results, and presentations
  • Solutions-oriented team player, with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions
  • Excellent leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience with Coupa, Aravo, Oracle platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) required and familiarity with Smartsheet is preferred
  • Preference will be given to individuals with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a target date of when this would be obtained
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Washington D.C. $120,000 - $162,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
