We are hiring for a “Principal Engineer: to be a part of the GTM Tech - MSE (Monetisation Services and Experiences) team. The GTM Tech - MSE team is responsible for managing the subscription needs of the Intuit ecosystem of products. The product lines include those of the SBSEG ecosystem of products (Accounting, Accountants, Self Employed, Advanced, QB Live, TSheets, Payroll, Pro Tax) along with DT, PCG, and CG ecosystem of products. The primary capabilities include Product, pricing and promotion management, Commerce, Entitlement Management, Subscription mgmt & Billing, Account receivables & revenue recognition. The MSE vision is to be a turbocharger of billing that enables the seamless onboarding of all Intuit ecosystems of products in a seamless and friction-free manner.

As a core monetization capability, we also focus a lot on how we solve monetization needs at scale. This includes solving for a potential of 350 M $ of annualized revenue and upwards by powering commercial innovation needs. To be able to do it we focus on all aspects of domain, product, and technology for accelerated outcomes. On the Domain aspects, we identify ourselves as being a niche center of excellence with deep and intricate knowledge of all of the SaaS-based subscription models. The technology aspects cover the react for UI Components, mSaaS technologies for deployments and hosting management, and spring boot for delivering enterprise-class web applications. This team in general adopts the latest in all technology upgrades of its stack to meet all Intuit laid tech mandates and compliance needs. This team is also diverse in its talent pool with specialties ranging full stack and is one of the teams with promising levels of engagement, innovation, and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
  • Designing/developing Applications, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POCs).
  • Demonstrate tech leadership: Mentoring junior engineers, and new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
  • Ability to navigate Intuit towards Ecosystems and Platforms to be a steward in visioning short- and long-term strategy, and trade-offs across business and technology. On the current and future state and drive delivery through clear and bite-size steps. Support execution teams with complex development and operational challenges through hands-on technical leadership via code design and contributions
  • Applies left shift mindset and plays various roles of DEV, QE, and Ops throughout the development life cycle and owns the E2E quality of the deliverable.
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the project. Hands-on in coding
  • Coach and mentor other engineers in process and methodologies
  • Provide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, patent, proposals, and engineering process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills. Communicates clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to all levels of employees, customers, and management (including executives)
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM methodologies

Qualifications

  • software, or mobile applications. Hands-on (50% time spent on coding/code reviews)
  • Tech/M. Tech in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong experience with Object Oriented Languages (OOD), Java Rich UI Development experience
  • Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong experience in the Software design/architecture process
  • Worked on highly complex technical challenges delivering durable capability that was leveraged across the organization
  • Demonstrated lead with scale —understands the holistic view, works across boundaries at which systems collide and intersect; and defines interfaces. Excelled at delivering outcomes within and across other organizations and removed mismatches between organizational, technological, and governance boundaries
  • Demonstrated Evaluation of leading industry trends, and provided recommendations on new and emerging technologies to meet business goals or simplify existing processes
  • Able to operate at highly varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to product strategy to high-level technical design to detailed technical design to implementation
  • Synthesize achievable solutions from diverse inputs, alternative sources (build/buy / partner) and complex data
  • Experience in some of the following technologies: AWS, AI/ML, RESTful or GraphQL-based web services with Java, DynamoDB, React JS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, Camunda or similar,, Caching solutions, JMS/Kafka, Spring framework
  • Experience in any cloud computing solutions
  • Experience in the Domain-driven model and hexagonal architecture
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the software design/architecture process
  • Workday knowledge – (nice to have)
