Job Overview
The Developer Experience (DevX) Design team accelerates Intuit’s mission by delivering next-generation platforms that enhance development velocity across TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp. The Developer Design Group is a multi-disciplinary platform design organization at the heart of this mission, focusing on Product Design, Research, Content Strategy, Design Tech, and Operations. We lead innovations in Kubernetes, GenAI Technologies, and Observability. This role sits on the UX Leadership team, reporting directly to the Director of Design, and acts as a strategic partner and operational leader, driving the successful execution of design initiatives across multiple programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and design, ensuring seamless project execution from ideation through launch.
Responsibilities
Complex Project Management: Oversee intricate projects with competing demands, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with business objectives, and exceptional quality. Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables across design teams.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance design program management processes to boost team productivity and collaboration. Foster a culture of learning and adaptability.
- Change Management: Drive alignment among leaders and partners across engineering, design, and product management. Proactively manage risks and resolve roadblocks to accelerate design timelines.
- Defining and Measuring Success: Establish and track metrics for design initiatives, effectively communicating UX value to leadership and showcasing the impact on the organization and business.
- Platform Adoption: Lead the adoption of new platforms or tools through strategic planning and clear communication, driving their successful integration and use.
Drive Impact: Lead key programs to ensure alignment between design, engineering, and product teams, addressing broad initiatives with significant business implications.
- Catalyze Design Evolution: Promote innovative thinking in design operations, inspiring your team to deliver groundbreaking design initiatives.
- Strategic Planning & Delivery: Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on organizational needs and complex priorities, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Facilitation & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between design, product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and resolve roadblocks.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in design project/program management, particularly within digital products and user experience teams.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives with a focus on innovative problem-solving.
- Organizational Skills: Expertise in scoping, prioritizing, and scheduling intricate projects to achieve objectives.
- Collaborative Leadership: Strong ability to align with product design teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Platform Adoption Expertise: Experience in driving platform adoption is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $161500-212000.
