Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for our AI security initiative and ensure the safe development of our generative AI technology.
As Senior Software Engineer – AI Safety, you will be working with a team of engineers to develop ideas and products that safeguard Intuit's generative AI ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead development efforts to build software to safeguard our AI ecosystem.
- Provide technical leadership and be a role model and mentor to engineers.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the risks and potential dangers associated with the use of AI.
- Advocate for the highest standards for engineering design, implementation, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the use of AI at Intuit, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $161,500-219,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience
- At least 8 years of experience in software engineering and security.
- Expert knowledge of backend software development (Java and Python)
- Experience with AI technologies such as SageMaker, LangChain, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels - from front line engineers and non-technical stakeholders, to senior leaders in engineering or at the executive level.
- Ability to drive velocity while partnering with data science and engineering teams across multiple time zones.
