Job Overview
The Compliance Audit Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the compliance audit team to ensure that internal policies and external regulations are adhered to. This role involves planning, supervising, and executing audit programs, providing guidance on regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The leader will serve as the primary conduit between Intuit’s Expert Network Partner Compliance program and key BU stakeholders and well as 3P Partners. This role will develop mechanisms to ensure security and compliance related questions and requests originating within partner teams are addressed and evaluated for completeness and accuracy. The role will facilitate Intuit-led physical and virtual audits of partner operations, including management of corrective action plans and represent the partner compliance function in Intuit-led weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, addressing compliance KPIs, escalations and related data.
Serve as the partner’s internal POC for security and privacy compliance matters – with a remit that expands with the ENPC team’s remit.
Responsibilities
- Experience in project/program management working with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with general compliance and audit concepts and processes
- Basic knowledge of information technology general controls (ITGC)
- Effective communicator, verbal and written
- Experience with facilitating/managing investigations
- Experience monitoring/analyzing data and metrics to drive compliance results
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE) preferred.
- Experience - Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance auditing, with at least [5] years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations. Proficient in audit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical Skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Leadership Skills - Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Ethical Standards - High level of integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Organizational Skills - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of compliance auditors, ensuring performance standards are met.
- Audit Planning - Develop comprehensive audit plans and procedures based on risk assessments and compliance requirements.
- Audit Execution - Oversee and participate in audit activities, ensuring thorough examination of records, processes, and systems.
- Regulatory Compliance - Keep up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure the audit process reflects current best practices.
- Reporting and Documentation - Prepare detailed audit reports that summarize findings, offer recommendations, and communicate results to senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with various departments to promote compliance awareness and implement corrective actions for identified issues. Track and report on Expert Network organizational risks through Risk Register mechanism.
- Risk Management - Identify and assess compliance risks, advising senior management on strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Continuous Improvement – Partner with all BU’s to develop and implement initiatives to remediate identified exposure points, operating risks, and team operational team deficiencies.
- Follow-up Audits - Ensure timely follow-up on audit findings and verify remediation actions are implemented effectively.
- Monitoring core Intuit partner compliance KPIs and implementing corrective action when KPIs fall below targets
- Facilitating root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action in response to compliance issues, including escalations and Intuit-led audits
- Present compliance KPIs and other compliance data as part of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews led by Intuit
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $148000 - 200000.
