We are a highly motivated and extremely collegial investment management team that handles a very diverse real estate portfolio in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. We have combined our transaction and asset-management activities in a joint team, that is driven by one common goal, to drive out-performance of regional assets under management. In this productive environment, it is possible to work on different asset classes, which are also in different life cycle phases. That means we oversee developments, which are usually managed by external project partners, existing properties that are in different rental phases through to properties that offer benefit potential and are therefore subject to repositioning.
We are flexible, open to new markets and project approaches, and strives at all times to recognize the potential of investments and to use them together with other partners such as transaction and fund management. The team is communicative with a very close internal exchange and confident in external communication. The topic of ESG is particularly meaningful to us, as we can make a major contribution to a positive climate development with our properties in the medium to long term
Your role
We are looking for our next Senior Associate / Associate Director Asset Management to join our Investment Management team based in Munich!
You will be responsible to identify, develop and implement asset management initiatives, including repositioning and development of key assets to improve the value and performance of properties under management.
Join our Asset Management Team and take charge of planning, analyzing finances, and efficiently managing assets to improve investment returns. You will be the main point of contact for all property investment management related matters on assigned properties, and direct investment management activities to drive the performance of the portfolio. Additionally, you will be involved in key strategic acquisition and support the business development of the unit and the performance of the portfolio.
Among your responsibilities will be:
Drive strategic investment management initiatives to improve the performance of key strategic assets under management from Core to High Returning Strategies, by preparing and implementing oefficie and business plans
Lead all aspects of the CAPEX/ refurbishments/ development or repositioning initiatives for the individual assets under management (offices, logistics, residential and retail)
Appoint and be the key point of contact of external development partners, property managers, letting agents and other third-party advisors
Take ownership for timely and accurate production of the business plans, analysis of asset reports, overseeing performance analysis, hold-sell-analysis and other reporting
Ensure that investment strategy and performance meet/exceed investment objectives
Actively contribute to Pan European standard methodologies and knowledge sharing initiatives as well as regional team interaction
Support the review of existing partners (property managers/ project managers/ letting agents, developers and other third-party advisors) to achieve potential alignments and quality assurance
What you can bring:
Strong professional real estate investment advisory/ asset management experience in an investment management or development role with experience in repositioning/ development of projects
Experience in different commercial asset classes including office, retail, residential and logistics and in different risk-profiles including core, core plus and value add
Good network in the German real estate market across the value chain, including asset owners, operators, brokers and other advisors
Experience of implementing ESG initiatives: Net Zero/ CRREM/ CO2 optimization
Team-player with leadership abilities and good social skills to build and maintain relationships in an international environment
Eloquent with excellent communication skills and the ability to explain and articulate investment performance and strategy
Interested in projects and risk management, finding smart solutions and continuous improvement
Ability to handle several parallel projects and unanticipated deadlines
Numerate and accurate with a strong attention to detail
Proficient in German and English
