Job Description
Your Team
The team is a small team of three engineers working to build, enhance, and support multiple applications that provide ETF specific capabilities for our business partners. The primary systems are Ruckus and PowerTools. Additionally, there is occasional work on the XTF system and integration with CRD.
Your Role
We’re seeking an Advanced Engineer to join a technology team which works closely with the business team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge capabilities in support of Invesco’s ETF business. You’ll be expected to have basic investments knowledge to collect and visualize investment processes quickly and accurately. We expect that you are fluent in data and application integration. You’ll be a part of a dynamic, collaborative team that wants to hear your input because you have a sound foundation in technology and appreciate the nuances of investment processes.

You Will Be Responsible For:
Complete all tasks related to analysis, building, unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the Technology development life cycle
Perform troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of critical applications and batch process issues
Build and test system components or amendments
Conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined
Review, discuss, and work within agreed timeframes and provide feedback to managers on any variances arising as tasks are performed
Prepare for and support user acceptance testing
Perform quality assurance tests on the work of other developers
Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems
Communicate with internal and external customers, supervisors and management using clear, user-friendly terminology (emails, phone, meetings, etc.)
Assist project and line managers in producing estimates for the development phase of projects and enhancements
Provide on call support for systems based on agreed coverage timeframe
The Experience You Bring:
Strong experience with the following technologies: .NET, Angular JS, SQL, TFS and Bitbucket.
Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core
Cloud Infrastructure – Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, Python
Agile - Kanban
Experience with continuous integration
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Understanding of web server, application server and database development, including basic data structures and algorithms
Experience with unit tests
Securities industry knowledge
Trading systems like Charles River
Batch control applications such as AutoSys
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required
Ability to pivot to new technologies as they become available. Keep pace with a constantly changing environment.
Collaborate with users/stakeholders to translate business problems into technical requirements.
Comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, ideas, or goals) and translating these into more tangible outputs.
