Job Description
Your Team
The Capital Markets team is an integral part of Invesco's investments organization which includes global trading, syndicate trading, securities lending, counterparty relations, investment transformation, digital assets and governance.
Your Role
The role will work with the Global Head of Capital Markets Governance, Capital Markets leaders globally and key Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Operations stakeholders to ensure Capital Markets is adhering to the highest level of global regulatory standards. The position supports all functionalities in Capital Markets with specific focus on trading oversight, incident management, and board and client requests.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Collaborating with the Trading Desk Heads for problem solving, client requests for proposal (RFPs) and completing regulatory requirements.
- Drafting and reviewing comprehensive internal policies and procedures governing Capital Markets activities.
- Overseeing the entire process of quarterly Global Trading Oversight Committees, from gathering materials to leading the presentations.
- Driving completion of quarterly and annual board reporting materials for global Invesco entities, including contract renewals.
- Engaging with clients and Board of Trustees and their inquiries.
- Capturing educating, mitigating, monitoring and preventing incidents globally.
- Analyzing data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for governance improvements.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of key risk indicators.
- Engaging with the Systematic Trading and Insights team to gather transaction cost analysis for clients, due diligences, and ad hoc governance requests.
- Managing the global approved broker list, including overseeing the approval process for new brokers, implementing restrictions on brokers as necessary, maintaining accurate Order Management System (OMS) rules, and conducting periodic reviews of approved brokers.
- Expanding affiliate broker, Invesco Capital Markets, Inc (ICMI), eligibility by obtaining confirmations from clients and compliance, coordinating Order Management System (OMS) implementation, periodically reconciling broker rules, and providing updates to the traders and product team.
The Experience You Bring:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience
- Financial services, investment management, compliance, or consulting experience preferred
Knowledge:
- Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to recognize anomalies in data and likely implications for business
- Can build and manage relationships with a variety of levels and constituencies
- Ability to think critically and ask questions to drive progress and develop solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Effective time and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Formal education:
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
