Job Description
The Department
Invesco’s Corporate Finance team is a high-impact team of FP&A professionals who provide strategic direction to the global finance organization and support senior leaders on their overall planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of financial performance. This team plays a significant role in creating and delivering actionable data-driven insights and analysis to help the Executive Leadership Team and other key stakeholders (including the Board and Investor Relations team) understand business performance and develop performance improvement plans.
You will be responsible for:
Building, developing, and leading a team of ~25 FP&A professionals
Owning and managing the overall monthly forecasting cycle, including opportunities to improve the current process
Providing strategic and operational direction for all aspects of the forecasting and financial planning processes, including analysis of results, budgeting, modeling, and management reporting processes, building and improving these processes to deliver timely, accurate and insightful management reporting, analysis and recommendations consistently across all regions
Directly managing a team of FP&A professionals that support the functional areas of the firm including technology and operations. Indirectly leading the FP&A professionals under the regional CFOs to deliver a reliable and consistent monthly corporate forecast
Developing and supporting all presentations from the CFO to the Invesco Board
Leading monthly financial performance review meetings with the Executive Leadership team with a focus on drivers of profitable growth and enhancement of the firm’s KPIs
Serving as a key senior leader for organizational transformation or similar initiatives under the leadership of the ELT
Leading the annual financial planning process in partnership with the Corporate Strategy group to deliver a consolidated annual financial plan for Board approval
Partnering with Investor Relations to support reliable shareholder guidance
Partnering with the Internal Consulting Group and Product function to create governance and support for the two primary enterprise capital allocation forums (Product Committee and Investment Prioritization)
Partnering with Total Rewards to develop the annual cash bonus pools and criteria for performance share units
The experience you bring:
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
MBA from a top-tier program or equivalent degree preferred
15+ years of experience with proven success in a top-tier financial services firm
Demonstrated interest and understanding of financial markets and the asset management industry
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization and to drive stakeholder consensus and influence outcomes
Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
Strong analytical and corporate finance skills and familiarity with financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and return on invested capital analysis
A team player with willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful way
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable driving owned initiatives
Intellectual agility – the ability to learn and act on new information quickly and efficiently
