Job Description
Your Team
The Services Procurement team is responsible for the global category management of key spend areas including Professional Services, HR & Benefits, Marketing, Legal, Properties & Facilities.
Your Role
The position will provide category management, sourcing and procurement support across major categories of indirect spend at a global level as relates to Financial Services and the vendors/suppliers required to execute the Company’s strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations. The position will be responsible for optimizing spend with vendor base and delivering cost savings with a total cost of ownership view. The position will also support Invesco’s procure-to-pay process and shared service model as relates to the implementation of category strategies, vendor management and risk management techniques.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Developing category strategies utilizing marketplace competition, user demand management, and vendor consolidation
Identifying category and vendor cost savings opportunities with global view
Managing competitive sourcing process with internal stakeholders (RFI/RFP) using an AI enabled intake and sourcing/contract management tool
Negotiating vendor agreements and contracts in partnership with stakeholders and Legal
Drafting, reviewing and revising contract documents in accordance with Legal guidance
Proactively managing major contract renewals and renegotiations
Monitoring major vendor performance with business unit relationship owners through quarterly business reviews
Providing expenditure analysis and identification of spend outside preferred vendor contracts
Developing, implementing and improving strategic sourcing processes, tools and buying channels
Delivering and reporting sustainable hard cost savings and cost avoidance
Developing expertise and benchmarking knowledge of assigned categories and major vendors
Managing a robust flow of category transactions in parallel with broader strategic initiatives
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, key stakeholders and vendors
The Experience You Bring:
Proven experience in the Professional Services category space with good working knowledge of the categories
Experience of HR/benefits category will be advantageous to provide local support to global lead
You will understand the cost levers in the Professional Services space and have the ability to talk confidently with the business on their requirements and challenge conventional thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to deliver clear, well-structured presentations: Senior Executive Level presence is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence others without authority.
Deep experience with competitive bidding (RFI/RFP) and vendor selection.
Strong negotiation skills with a working knowledge and good understanding of generally accepted commercial and basic legal terms.
Self-driven, results oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision.
Strong project management and team leadership skills.
Strong analytical and financial skills.
Strong knowledge and experience in assigned spend categories.
Ability to concurrently manage and prioritize multiple projects and transactions.
Good command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
