About the team:
Client Operations (“CO”) offers investments, sales, marketing and client support services to Invesco’s clients through its global client communication platforms and its stewardship of centrally distributed data, e.g.
Product/client reporting
Client transition management into segregated and pooled funds
Bespoke reporting to clients, consultants and external data vendors
Key global distribution services business project management, controls and systems enhancement
CO Hong Kong encompasses full range of services as in other regional offices and reports to the Director of CO Asia Pacific. The Transitions team is to maintain the highest standard of client service for Invesco’s institutional clients by being responsible for the control and facilitation of the transitions process. The Assistant Manager reports to the Associate Director of the Transitions team.
About the role:
This is a 12-months contract role with possibilities converting into a permanent role.
The team provides the Asia Pacific business with excellent institutional client take-on/product launch support. The team engages in global firm-wide projects and regional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with colleagues from other regions on the firm-wide middle office transformation program and manage testing timelines, document outcomes and issues, address system issues, and ensure a smooth implementation without impacting BAU operations.
Project manage the custodian change for approx. 20 client accounts for a Tier 1 institutional client
Implement the action items as set out on the remediation plan for obligation management for all legacy accounts as identified by Internal Audit
Collaborate with Legal and client relationship team to develop a protocol for obligation management for new wins as identified by Internal Audit
Work closely with clients, custodians or external transition managers as well as key internal partners, for example Sales, Client Relations, Investments, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Operations etc. to ensure the effective take-on of globally managed mandates that are primarily sourced from institutional clients within Asia Pacific
About Your Experience:
University degree in Accounting, Finance or business area of concentration.
5+ years of transitions/onboarding, or investment servicing experience.
Good understanding/knowledge of the asset management industry
All investment and support functions, e.g. Legal, Compliance, Investment, Operations etc.
Unit trust and segregated account operations.
Good written and verbal communication in English and Chinese, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
Client focuses and with a keen interest in providing superb services to clients.
Good time management and organization skills, detail oriented and can work under pressure with tight deadline.
Self-managing and proactively prioritize his/her work.
Open-minded and a strong "out-of-the-box" thinker who challenges status-quo.
Proactive attitude to change/implement new processes.
Holding Project Management Professional (“PMP”) certification or any equivalent discipline is preferred
