Job Description
Your Role
The Foundation Administration and Community Affairs Manager is principally responsible for coordinating grants and managing the day-to-day operations of the Invesco Foundation, an independent legal entity providing grants to non-profit organizations in Invesco’s key U.S. markets.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Working with Foundation Board to fulfill the organization mission. Developing agendas, related documentation, and minutes for meetings.
Reviewing grant applications, preparing for and leading grant recommendation process for Invesco Foundation and/or support from Invesco directly.
Aligning giving with philanthropy strategy and maximizing impact. Coordinating notification of approved grants to grantees and supporting ongoing donor relationships.
Assisting in maintaining Foundation records to meet audit and IRS requirements.
Meeting regularly with local community groups and non-profits to explore and connect to sources of funding as well as form a forward view of upcoming capital campaigns. Representing Invesco in the community at events, tours, ribbon cuttings, and grand openings.
Managing the budget for community affairs and foundation activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Working closely with Employee Experience to help identify employee volunteer opportunities for Invesco Cares and Business Resource Groups. Collaborating with Marketing when sponsorship opportunities arise for their consideration.
Collaborating with organizations and colleagues in other major Invesco markets (e.g. Houston, NYC, Chicago) as opportunities arise.
The Experience You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Five or more years of relevant community engagement knowledge, experience, and local relationships.
Philanthropic giving experience is highly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, proactively identifying opportunities for community engagement and addressing challenges without requiring constant supervision.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
