Your Role:

The candidate will work closely with various internal/external groups in Asia-Pacific (sales, product, and compliance, investment teams) to manage the creation of unique and engaging content for thought leadership, primarily institutional clients, however with a view on investors across different segments. This includes coordinating distribution of content and managing requests for information on the thought leadership strategy. In addition, this role will help manage and monitor content performance on the Asia institutional website as well as run a monthly thought leadership meeting to go over the analytics of the content on the website.

The successful candidate must be a team player, yet self-motivated, possess good investment knowledge and general understanding of the financial markets. They should be comfortable working closely with investment professionals to extract differentiating ideas and translate them into engaging content.

Previous experience of asset management investment content management including writing/editing is beneficial. The candidate will be expected to prioritize and meet deadlines and have excellent communication skills with an ability to work with the investment, sales, product and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Content management:
    • Execute against set pipeline of ideas with relevant APAC stakeholders applying disciplined project management skills
    • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate, edit and review thought leadership from a global perspective
    • Research, organize and write engaging content for thought leadership, brand and digital across different formats e.g. website/socials/whitepapers, etc.
    • Handle global content, curating relevant content for APAC distribution via website, sales tool Seismic, Teams channels
    • Working closely with Marketing Operations in India to have content designed/approved/uploaded for distribution within marketing ecosystem, including responsibility for ensuring the website is up-to-date and stakeholders are informed of new content in a timely manner.
  • Content operations:
    • Prepare monthly reporting on content as per template and distribute to relevant stakeholders via established channels
    • Prepare agenda and chair monthly APAC thought leadership call, ensuring actions are followed up each time
    • Provide APAC update on monthly global thought leadership call, ensuring any actions are followed up
    • Prepare and send weekly and monthly APAC thought leadership internal emails as per template, sending to established list
    • Problem solve any operational issues with relevant teams if/when they arise to ensure content is available in a timely and accurate manner.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Extensive experience in marketing or communications within the asset management / finance or professional services industries, with strong experience with investment related content.
  • Knowledge of investment products ideal and good knowledge of financial markets and investment/ financial concepts.
  • Managing a team or individuals previously with a high-performance mindset.

Specialized skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Economics or Business-related field.
  • Proven and exceptional content creation skills to help manage a wide range of communication materials for various audiences.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English, Chinese a plus.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail, highly organized and strong project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate with all levels within the company.
  • Creativity - able to recommend new and unique ideas.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as to handle multiple simultaneous assignments, work independently, and assume responsibility for deliverables.
  • Ability to effectively manage new projects, existing maintenance, shifting priorities, and multiple tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize work with competing business initiatives and time constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and potential competing interests.
  • Self-directed and well organized; able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced computer skills including Bloomberg terminal and knowledge of SEO and digital marketing platforms a plus.
  • Knowledge of marketing metrics and KPIs
