Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Associate Director, Transactions position is based in San Francisco and will be responsible for supporting the Transaction Officer in sourcing, underwriting, and executing investment opportunities with an emphasis on residential within the Northwestern United States markets.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Assist Transaction Officer in sourcing, structuring, and negotiating investment opportunities, ranging from core to value add to opportunistic.
Lead the creation of thorough and concise investment committee packages that clearly identify and articulate strategy and risk to Investment committee
Perform and provide expertise on all aspects of the financial modeling, focusing on unleveraged, leveraged, and structured analysis.
Manage the overall investment process, performing due diligence and collaborating in the compilation of information to assess an investment’s viability
Develop and mentor Transaction Analytics team members
Support the credit originations team within covered markets, as necessary.
Perform regular market visits and property tours to understand market drivers and support overall sourcing strategy.
Assist in the quarterly valuations process of Invesco portfolio assets.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
Minimum of 7 years of direct real estate transaction and/or operational experience.
Experience in residential sector required; experience in other sectors a plus.
A thorough understanding of real estate investment fundamentals, market trends and corporate finance are a necessity.
Strong command of Argus (AE) and Excel.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
Highly motivated with a strong record of academic and professional achievement.
Self-motivated, high-energy personality that works well in a team environment
Strong writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Thrives in a team-oriented culture.
Desire and willingness to spend a significant time on the road and in the markets.
Formal Education:
Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree a plus
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, and temperatures.
The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary.
Hours may include evenings or weekends.
Travel will be required.

The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in California is $155,000 to $175,000 annually.
